New on Fantastic Plastic is a limited 7" by THE STRANGE DEATH OF LIBERAL ENGLAND. It's called A Day Another Day and I'm just waiting for it not to sound like Guillemots. Thankfully it doesn't. It starts off reasonably non descript but it turns into this super epic thing which oozes competence and confidence. It swaggers along like a load of rich monkeys with 50 quid notes in their wallets on their way to the banana store. Am suitably impressed by their energy and enthusiasm. I can't think of anyone it sounds like but as far as indie singles go these days it's pretty decent. Very limited one per person job 'n all.
