I loved that first COCOROSIE album. It did loads for me... this new
one I'm not sure about. The cover photograph is amazing though. One of the
loveliest images I've seen in ages. Anyway they appear to have lost some of
their cookyness and some of their songwriting skills. It's not quite as good as
it used to be.... I think I preferred their stripped down weirdness cos now
they're being more adventurous and I'm not sure sure if it works. I think this
could be a grower?? I'm not sure.. The jury is out on this one... The Adventures
of Ghosthorse & Stillborn is out now on CD and LP. The CD comes with a bonus
sticker and the LP comes with a free digital download.... one seems like a
remarkably better deal than the other one.

What their label says...
‘The Adventures Of Ghosthorse And Stillborn’, the third ventricle of the CocoRosie liturgy, represents another stride onward from their previous works. After completing demos in the south of France, CocoRosie went to Reykjavik to collaborate with producer Valgeir Sigurðsson, most widely known as Bjork’s main studio conspirator since ‘Dancer In The Dark’. On this album the girls continue to experiment with their disparate voices and clashing personalities, juxtaposing devastating ballads like ‘Werewolf’ with exhilarating tracks like ‘Japan’ and the jaunty single ‘Rainbowarriors’. This isn’t just the third record from CocoRosie, it’s the record that will make you think twice about CocoRosie. ‘The Adventures Of Ghosthorse And Stillborn’ is a lush, orchestral array of sounds and beauty - a vaudevillian opera, if you will.. An exclusive bonus track and CocoRosie sticker is included in the UK / European version only. There will be a full European tour throughout May and June.
