LOVVERS have a 7" out on Jonson Family. This has a lovely picture of 2 horse on the cover. They look like they're in love. In fact it's kind of painting you can imagine on your grandparents wall. Though play this to them and they'll more than likely have a heart attack as it's a right old racket! It sounds like a more fuzzy version of Fugazi or summat.... it's well noisy and it completely rocks. I like it. 300 copies on 7" only!
Debut four songs 7” from Lovvers, a 4 piece band from the middle of the UK. They listen to The Germs and Unwound, The Wipers and Monorchid. They have toured with Blood Red Shoes (debut 7” on JF now goes for £50 on eBay). Drowned in Sound, the internet site, said this about the band: “Remember their name: Lovvers. As in "spreading the lovve". Only with two ‘v’s - one for violent and the other for visceral. Unmissable.” Whatever that means. This release was recorded a few weeks after a near fatal car crash involving all members; it has a pressing of 300. The band are gigging throughout March and April and almost certainly beyond.
