Yet more gubbins has just arrived so I'll be quick. A new FLOWER - CORSANO Duo 7" 'The Undisputed Dimension' on No-Fi. Chris Corsano is one hell of a drummer and he goes for it on here, pummeling the drums into oblivion making Animal appear lazy while Mick Flower make a wicked racket with what sounds like a sitar having a scrap with some bag pipes.Very intense avant / improve stuff. Flipside continues in much the same vein. I can imagine them in a complete trance making this racket. Bloody excellent. You'd be a fool not to purchase this record.

What their label says...

The Undisputed Dimension
The Fifth Truth

-         A truly devastating meeting of minds featuring Vibracathedral Orchestra’s Michael Flower and virtuoso drummer Chris Corsano (who is incidentally contributing to the new Bjork album!)

It’s not often that two musical behemoths clash heads and the result is so powerful and seismic, but there is truly nothing more explosive than this seemingly tiny 7”. With one of the worlds best drummers; the magnificent Chris Corsano (Vampire Belt, Death Unit, Vampire Can’t etc) and one of the UK’s prime improvisers Michael Flower (of the Vibracathedral Orchestra) on Japanese Banjo this was always going to be something special, but really just how intense these two tracks are is almost impossible to put into words. Anyone who has seen the duo perform live might have an inkling of the kind of heady psychedelic experience their music drags out of you, and on ‘The Undisputed Dimension’ their shows are truncated to just ten minutes of music. On the recent full-length album ‘The Radiant Mirror’ we had an hour to hear the ups and downs of the duo’s performance yet here we see them in short, simple, jaw dropping intensity. Just listen and allow yourself to be taken on a journey – it’s one you’ll want to take again and again.
