Now the new project from gothic lord Nick Cave working under the name of GRINDERMAN with his new single No Pussy Blues out on Mute. Soundin' like he's got the freedom to do what the chuff he likes. No Pussy Blues goes from spoken poetry to raging shouting. It grows and grows with menace untill we're teated to a wah-wah guitar that sounds like a fierce wind raging through a war zone. Its sounding a bit Iggy Pop and at times it has that preacher style similar to Jim Morrison of The Doors fame. Phil (the dad) reckons it sounds like he did when he first realesed stuff with the band The Birthday Party. B-sides a bit less angry and sounds a bit U2. Out on CD and very limited 7"
