The third PRIMAL SCREAM single from the 'Riot City Blues' long player has just arrived. 'I Feel So Lonely' is probably the least offensive of the three singles. This looks like a bid for Christmas number one to me. It's proper lighters in the air stadium stuff. It's got that cry into your Bailey's depressing Christmas feel. The addition of children singing cements my suspicion that this is aimed at the top of the charts. I'd love it if Mr Blobby came back from the dead and pipped them to the post at the last minute. I love it when serious artists get the highlight of their career stolen from them by novelty records. B-side is a bit of a drinking tune. 'Gamblin bar room blues' is not half as bad as the A-side although I reckon this stuff should be left to Tom Waits. 5000 copies only for the whole
big fat wide world on Columbia.
