And now for something completely different. The delicate warblings of ALASDAIR ROBERTS are enough to soothe my stressed head today.  There's probably not much that can be said about him that hasn't been said before. His new album called The Amber Gatherers is a superb example of his gentle paced folk music. As ever there's that massive Celtic influence drifting through his songs and his voice is just to die for. Occasionally some of the instrumentation possibly sounds a bit mainstream and Beth Orton has sprung to mind.  Only on a couple of the songs mind you. It's still a beautiful record and is extremely recommended!!
