THE VIDEO NASTIES have a 7" out called I Wanna on Way Out West. Folks are expecting big things of these so I'm told. They've got spunk I tell you! They kind of sound like The Futureheads used to sound (before they turned into the Proclaimers)... they have the same sort of spiky energy. Though they have these toytown keyboard sounds as well chucked in which makes 'em sound their own. Prob gonna appeal to the same folks who like To My Boy and that kind of shenanigans!

What their label says...

The release of I Wanna / 3 New Ideas will be the start of something special. Its the much anticipated debut single by one of Londons massively exciting propositions, and the debut release on a label formed by one of the countrys most talked about club nights. The band? They were formed in the summer of 2005 by brothers James and Max Churcher, soon recruiting school mates Harry, George and finally Joseph, who joined just over a month ago. They played their debut show in front of a gob smacked Les Incompetents who were so impressed that they took the band under their wing and went on to arrange their first gigs. After supporting the likes of Jamie T, TapesnTapes and Be Your Own Pet, they took the summer off to drink Stella and mess up their A-levels, before going into the studio with producers Gareth Parton (3 New Ideas) and Rich Woodcroft (I Wanna) to record the superb piece of jubilant lo-fi pop. They also recruited director George Fafalious, famed for his work with Be Your Own Pet and Good Shoes, to make the video.
