Now I have the new single from Brighton 2 piece BLOOD RED SHOES on Abeano Music. Brian's loving the sounds and I'm quite tempted to pop down their show tonight as my friend has spilt from his girlfriend today and wants a shoulder to cry on. Might as well be in an incredibly loud exciting rocky environment to muffle him out. Rocking and angular with energy to burn of the crustaceans of rejection this might just be the tonic he needs. Titles include 'You bring me down' which includes the repeated line "I'm leaving, I'm leaving, I'm leaving, I'm leaving, I'm leaving, I'm leaving, I'm leaving, I'm leaving, I'm leaving, I'm leaving, " Maybe its not best then but a great single anyway.x

What their label says...

Blood Red Shoes’ last two London gigs have been a who’s who of the past few years of indie, with members of Maxïmo Park, The Rakes, Kaiser Chiefs and The Long Blondes nodding along one night and half the music industry, including Zane Lowe and Steve Lamacq, in attendance the next. Subsequently, Maxïmo Park offered them the support slot at their massive show at Glasgow Academy, Drowned in Sound offered to release their single via their digital singles club and offered them a tour with Metric, and somewhere along the line Panic! At The Disco caught wind of them – they’ll support the Las Vegas-spawned emo megastars at Brixton Academy in October. Blood Red Shoes are from Brighton. They are two people: Laura-Mary (wishes she was Spanish) and Steven (wishes he was French). They play guitars and drums and they sing. It’s not rare for them to play two gigs in a night. They’ve released three super- limited singles on bedroom labels so far, which are now completely sold out.
