I reckon TUNNG are poking fun at us with their new single 'It's
Because We've Got Hair'. Who told them we were all bald here at the
towers ay? Well except for Maggie with her sultry flowing golden locks.
It's rough this time of year on the old bonce you know. The world can
be so cruel to us folically challenged. Waffle waffle. The track sounds
to me almost like a pagan prayer. The rhythms are fairly simple with
odd sounds creeping into the mix and shuffling metallic percussion. The
acoustic guitar melody is consistent throughout the track and moves it
along nicely. I particularly like the way the male and female vocals
are singing in unison but the female vocal is lower in the mix giving
the effect of an echo on the male vocal. As with all the stuff I've
heard by these there is a mystical feel and a post 60's acid vibe. The
team here all love this band and up
until now I must admit I haven't been fully seduced by their charms,
this could all change...This 7" has a Department Of Eagles
mix on the flip and like the previous singles is limited to 1000 copies on Full Time
Hobby.
