PELICAN's
'The Fire In Our Throats Will Beckon The Thaw' is basically an album of
varying quality post-rock. At times more on the heavier side, rather
like
Isis
actually. Post-metal if you please. Extremely well produced and totally
rocking at times. This makes me miss my long hear from years gone by.
I'm gonna ask
Santa for a hair transplant so I can get down to this. Failing that
I'll settle for a
syrup. This doesn't really move me emotionally but I can appreciate
some of the moments on here. If you liked the split they did with
Mono
from a while back then check it out. The vinyl is a big chunky gatefold
double LP that wil get you audiophiles off no end. On Los Angeles' ever
reliable Hydra Head imprint
