The new single by the KNIFE is a slow plodding 4/4 track with eerie almost theramin sounding horror synth atmospheres. The vocal sounds like a nastier Bjork
to me. It's called 'Like a Pen.' This title has made me think of the
humble pen-knife and about the fact that it's simply just a small knife
and not a pen at all. In fact the more I think of it, the more the idea
of a knife that doubles as a pen appeals to me. You could write someone
a check and then stab them up, just like in the movies. The 7" comes
with an exclusive original demo version and the CD has 5 different
mixes / versions. And both the 12" and CD include a dub by Techno don Thomas Schumacher. In a
tasteful purple sleeve on Brille....Oooh the color purple, that's that film with Whoopie Goldberg that always makes my Mum cry.
