Ooh ooh ooh... THOM YORKE eh. I like him. He may be a wonky eyed goon but he's got more talent in one of his eye lashes than any of me put together (whatever that means). Xl have redeemed themselves with Yorkey's album after the coffee table averageness of the Various album which made me want to set at my head with an average hammer. Harrowdown Hill is the 1st single lifted from The Eraser album and it's a belter. Warm electronic beats ala Aphex/ Bola with some dubious wierd slap bass sound and some dark synth lines ala Vangelis. The vocals are typically Thom with melody bursting from it's very arse. I love this song and all the tracks on it.... but hell I'm biased so you probably don't want to listen to me cos I'm clueless and until this time last week I lived in a house entirely made of wasps (it was getting a bit painful). The track called Drunkk Machine on CD and 12" is absolutely blinding. You need all 3 formats and why not cos you can get 'em all for a fiver.

Love this record? Hate it? Tell us.
