Folkie Scot JAMES YORKSTON serves us well on his new elpee & ceedee "Year of the Leopard".
Domino
seem to have nurtured him till he's just flowing very nicely thankyou
very much. This is sweet natured gentle folk played with passion &
warmth, very classic sounding, the loose collective he employs as
backing band flesh out his mellow traditional
inspired hymns incredibly adeptly. There's a lovely diversion in the Arab Strap-for-nice-people
experiment 'Woozy with Cider', a spoken word rant over mellow orbital
style electronics. Nice one for the slippers & earth brigade. Love
the artwork too. We have a very limited amount of the 10" double pack
vinyl & CD with a free 6 track bonus disc of purely acoustic
versions. Be quick though.
