gradually evolving
Mogwai-esque guitarchitecture (sonic cathedrals HAHAHA!)
like a big brooding mantra. It's surprising to learn that the song is
called 'The Watcher' & is originally by lcd scoffing free rock
hounds
Hawkwind but in this incarnation is covered by the wonderful PARTCHIMP. The TODD side soon descends into shards of dense, speaker shredding white noise & although not as unpleasant as the likes of
Prurient & Whitehouse,
could still in places have you reaching for a drill to murder your
neighbors with. The second section is lo-fi tripped out sludgy stuff
which makes you wish you hadn't given Janice three doors up that
frontal lobotomy after all. Dark & noisy never sounded better......
