Actually I've just got one more cos it's just come in. The new YOUNG
KNIVES album on Transgressive called Voices Of Animals & Men.
I'll start off by saying this is brilliant. I can't remember the last 'indie'
album I took home it was that long ago. A lot of the indie music these days is
so stale, obvious and predictable. It drives me potty a lot of it to be honest.
Cue TheYoung Knives excellent debut which is chocka full of great
tunes which never out stay their welcome. Good short punchy songs which will be
going through your head on the bus home in no time. I've already got Dialing
Darling and She's Attracted To battling for brain space competition. I was
talking to Clinton about these earlier this week and he says they sound exactly
like XTC. He's a man who'd know. Heartily recommended and available on
limited LP (with free 7") and CD/DVD set (the DVD includes loads of videos
and a live gig).
