The boss, who's become the new David Bailey with his flash digital
camera, once sat me down at his little house & played me a CD by this
band called Deerhoof. After I'd scraped my collapsed jawbone off the floor
and stuffed my seeping brain back in my ears, we sat & discussed this
superb mesh of off-kilter insanity & yelping Japanese girl madness
with gusto. Like Melt Banana married with a more berserk Trumans Water I
quietly concluded. Now they've all grown up & got someone to produce
their records & stuff. This doesn't mean that they're gonna make a bid
for Franz Ferdinand style chart domination anytime soon. Oh no. New CD
'Milk Man' is 13 sparkling, still off-kilter & bizarre POP tunes. The
only possible parallels we can draw are Blonde Redhead meets The Cardiacs
at an earlyGenesis convention. Seriously this is a
GOOD thing. Buy, absorb & enjoy the craziness Wonderful!
