FOREIGN ISLANDS , Nude's "latest signing" (yawn) Twangy post punk guitar (check) Bendy funk bass (check) ramalama disco new wave drums (check) itchy meaningless vocals delivered in that muffled conversational rap style that the guy from At the Drive In invented. This sucks. Don't be fooled by the press release. The singer is apparently "a well known NYC nightlife personality" This is the ultimate manufactured scenester band. I wish I'd got the Horrors single now. At least their graphic design is good!! Ltd to 750 copies on 7" only. Be glad when it's gone you know....so generic it hurts.
