Now I have a limited edition single from Monkey Swallows The Universe called 'Science' on Thee SPC. They're are an acoustic five piece from Sheffield with fans including Richard Hawley, The Long Blondes and Camera Obscura..
It's a delicate affair with intelligent construction and with as much
build and cresendo that can come from cello and wire brushes., Her
voice is perticularly distinctive and wether you like it will dictate
what you think of this CD single (Brian reckons a bit like Amelia Fletcher from Heavenly) . It sometimes sounds very traditional and Cranberries
but then it will do something quite lovely that makes you think its ok
that we invested all that hope in a world of peace. The 3rd track
(Florence - on the CD only!) a cheeky pop tune not a million miles from
Belle and Sebastian. Be a lovely record to do the dishes to!
