If you're into futuristic Detroit electro then check out the Urban Tribe 'Clinical Trials' EP on Rephlex. 'Biohazard 17284' has that sinister synthetic paranoid sound that Dopplereffekt pioneered in the late 90's complete with robot vocal. It's not a happy 12" this, in fact it kind of paints a picture of a bleak future. Track titles like 'Class Warfare' help reinforce the vision of cities burning and droids rioting. 'RNA Hope' is great with its squelchy synth and classic Detroit electro sound. I'm pretty sure Kenny Dixon Jnr and Shake are responsible for this and their only other release as far as I know was their split EP with The Other People Place on Clone. Fans of Drexciya etc will be feelin' this one.
