Much more my thing, as I'm firmly down with the kids sat here looking like John Peel on smack in my dad's old jumper & big fat bags under my eye, is the new Spank Rock album on Big Dada. Phil likes these cause they put ladies derrieres on their sleeve & rap about naughty things like sex, titties & horny stuff. Phwoooaaaaaarrrrr is all I can say to this excellent electro crunk hip hop bootie ghetto bitch slap. Or whatever. You know when summat sounds free flowing & fresh, cheeky & proper funky. Possibly like if early N.E.R.D. were on Warp, they'd produce an album as catchy, accomplished & fun as this. Don't ask me for any smart-arse hipster reference points. The albums I bought last week were by Napalm Death, Monochrome Set & The Smiths. How cool am I? Cool enough to say buy this or stick it up yer bum! On Big Dada, LP/CD
