The Scarlet Tuesday & Balor Knights 7" split on SPC. a freewheeling cacophony of post-Delgados pop, colliding harmonies, twinkly keyboards & recorder. Audacious to say the least. Like a big bubblegum bubble chewed up with chunks of Novak, Delgados, & god knows what else. The Balor Knights share members & a mad revved up spirit that makes them both a meatier Bearsuit & Ooberman on crack. And once again on this tune, the frantic spirit of early Delgados, a most obvious influence. This second tune is my fave, purely cos it sounds like it's got in an indie hotrod & driven through the studio wall, It's so bloody tanked up on fizzy pop & energy tablets. On vibalite yellow vinyl. Just perfect!
