RECORD OF THE WEEK . Oh God almighty its here. I forgot all about
this - CocoRosie on Touch and Go. This is fecking
incredible. Its two ladies from Brooklyn, New York one of whom apparently
kisses Devandra Banhart. Obviously some saliva has passed through
or something because she sings just like him. Like a lady version. Its lo-fi
acoustic folky stuff with intertwining lady vocals. Simple, lovely music.
Not my words, the words of Fat Barry over there. Compare to Devandra
Banhart, Tyrannosaurus Rex, Kate Bush, Mirah, Minie Ripperton, 60's
folk, Vanessa Paradis. In a word - Brilliant. La Maison De Mon Reve is on LP and CD!
