I'm going gaga for almost forgotten yank tremelo abusers Swirlies. This Cambridge, MA 4 piece made one of my albums of the 90's in 'Blondertongueaudiobaton' an insane rush of post MBV bendy distortion, feral indie pop genius & brittle lo-fi interludes. The heart stopping girl/boy harmonies are Valentines inspired but the music is a friskier beast altogether with some astonishing guitars & breathtaking colliding dynamics. So tightly wound is this perfect album that it could fall to bits any second. We have a few sealed warehouse find vinyl copies of this lost classic in for around £6 plus some other cheap stuff by them including a double remix album & 'What To Do About Them?' a vital counterpart early singles round-up where you hear it all fermenting! Invest........ thanks for reading
