Sweet Scouse boys The Coral were one of my Glasto highlights, thrilling me
with all the hits they've stormed the pop charts with over the years & that
astonishing voodoo incest tune that opens 'The Invisible Invasion'. Sadly that
tale of love so dark & taboo fails to get the people at Deltasonic pointing
it chartwards so 'Something Inside Of Me', a Coral-by-numbers radio effort wins
the day. No worries as it's still pretty great. They piss these tunes in their
sleep. 'The Case Of Arthur Tannen' shits all over it though. They do ace B-sides
these lads. Interesting fact: Geoff Barrow & Adrian Utley from Portishead
worked on this.
