Listened to 'Pressure' by The Bug the other night as I were right in t' mood
for some twisted dancehall mania & you know what? It tore my head off, shit
down my neck & made me realise it as one of the most significant electronic
records of the last decade. It also relieved me of all the tension & anxiety
I had in me & I've been like that the rest of the week. The power of music,
believe me. Then I thought "He ain't done owt for ages!!" So what
drops today? A new 12" on Klein Ft. Ras B called 'Fire'. It's just bloody
excellent. A bit more tech-ey & less intense but unmistakably the work of
some kinda mofo genius sonofabitch. 'Dash A Fire' on the flip is more
aggro-vated & utterly twisted like some warped mogadon rave on Kool Pop.
He's in a league of his own is old Kevin (no offal on his tits....) so all those
breakcore brats can go swivel on this. Single of the week, no messin'
