I haven't even heard that Colleen album that everyone drones on about
so I can't compare it to her new one that I'm about to review. Well anyway we
were playing this in the office the other day and I had to ring the bank to sort
out the mess that was caused by one of you lot spending too much money.
Aaaannyway (I'm going somewhere with this, honestly) the lady on the other end
of the phone asked if I worked in a clock shop. At first I thought she said
cock........ but then I twigged that she was hearing the sound of the Colleen
album drifting down the phone wires. It sounds like a clock shop. It twinkles
away like the sound of several clocks chiming away at once. Or if you worked in
a shop that sold wind chimes on a particularly windy day. The first track has
some lovely acoustic guitar and cello and the final track builds up into a
lovely crescendo. Between the two events there are enough twinkles to kill
a horse - honestly its that twinkly. You couldn't weld another twinkle on
there even if you had the biggest twinkle machine in the world. On Leaf.
