If this Maximo Park album isn't the most addictive, delirious,
accomplished, energised, lovingly crafted & spine tingling debut
you could wish for then I'm a girl. A big one. Just blooming buy it,
OK!! The sampler knocked me on the floor & I had to play it to
everyone I know that has/had/wants ears. The breathtakingly catchy
singles are just the tip of the iceberg. All I can say is The Smiths,
The Futureheads, Roxy Music, Queens Of the Stone Age & those cheeky
Scots new wavers that tore a hole in the arse pocket of indie last year
all rolled into one hysterical bundle of quality POP & seamless
ROCK with depth & class. Who cares that singer Paul Smith resembles
a paedo on crack? Initial CDs come with a cool little "Live In Tokyo" 7
tracker & the vinyl is 12"s wide with a sleeve & a hole in the
middle. (Even Clint's backing this - that equals a Norman towers
3-pronged winner)
