Who are The National? Well they are from Brooklyn, New York and 3 of them have beards. They sound like a gruff blue collar update of the Jesus and Mary Chain. Kind of like Violent Femmes playing Jesus and Mary Chain songs fronted by Bruce Springsteen. This is a 3 track single on Beggars Banquet. CD has different B sides from 7" - both have 3 tracks.
