The same old blues. So said Proud Mary a few years ago. How could they
have forseen the barrage of blues based rock subjected to us this year. Sons
and Daughters have a bluesy, swampy sound but are at least taking their
music into places previously occupied by the likes of The Fall and Quickspace
. I'm sure these lot will be great live. I can only summise that this is really
not my kind of thing but the way the others are dancing around the room,
tapping feet, banging on tables and generally whooping up it must be a jolly
good sign. On Domino.
