I saw The Charlatans in 1990 when they played me local toilet (The Duchess Of
Yourk - R.I.P.) & was most impressed by their Farfisa driven baggy funk but
simply can't believe they're STILL going years after every one of
their peers has packed up & gone to live in the country, nursing broken bank
balances & shattered dreams, diseased livers & decayed brains. Not
enough drugs I say Tim? I wish they'd lived fast & recklessly &
followed the example of the sadly missed keyboard player, the only true rock
star among them. Here's a new single then - 'Try Again Today'.'"What's it
like?" you scream in unison? Like a very stale version of The Charlatans I
say. The 7" is really limited, numbered & reassuringly expensive. Also
