The first time I heard 'Tides' by Arovane I went bananas with excitement. I
still think that album is one of the best of the last few years. Unfortunately
since that landmark disc Mr Arovane has seen fit to release a load of other
records that have not managed to tickle ones fancy quite so much. So to read
that this new record was a return to the sound of 'Tides' was much welcome. On
first listen it doesn't disappoint. The overall feel is of lovely floatiness. I
think its less organic than the last album but more electronic. Will appeal to fans of
Boards of Canada, Christian Kleine, Ulrich Schnauss etc etc. On City Centre
Offices.
