Track & Field kindly bring us a new album by Of Montreal. Insanely catchy poppy 60's psychedelic influenced pop music with crazy arrangements. Clinton's not a fan cos they're too happy for him. I can see how they may be unbearably happy for some but I think they're rather special indeed. It is very happy music and it should cheer up the the most miserable of souls. Reminds me a lot of the Dukes Of Straosphear who were an XTC offshoot of 60's psychedelic pop. Class..Aldhills Arboretum is on LP and CD

What their label says...

'Aldhils Arboretum' is Of Montreal's first official UK release. There are few bands whose music is as unabashedly happy as Of Montreal. Their songs soar and weave with energy and goodwill, daring listeners to walk away without a smile on their face.

Of Montreal's Kevin Barnes says about 'Aldhils Arboretum': "We wanted to make an album of singles. An album where each song is provocative and challenging but still danceable and easy to sing along with."
