The, quite frankly, annoying Manitoba brings forth another single
from his 'Up In Flames' opus. 'Hendrix with Ko' is a further slice of
tinny psychedelic electronic whimsy which thinks it's being clever when
it actually sounds just like what Flowchart were doing 6 years
ago fer fucks sake. This is a man capable of genius (see: the 'Giv'r'
& 'If Assholes...' e.p.s) so when he takes off his rose tinted shades
& just makes gorgeous, simple tunes like the b-side 'Cherrybomb' then
all is forgiven. I know he's trying to vary what he does so why doesn't
he go & make that astounding nu-garage classic that those e.p's threatened? . CDs & 12" thru Leaf.
