Finally here come Jet Johnson and Glider. Both featuring
Gavin Baker from Billy Mahonie. A busy man, it seems. Anyway
the Jet Johnson side is kind of a scruffy lo-fi punk cousin to
ESG. Quite unlike anything else they've done before but most essential.
Glider (also featuring Pascal Asselin from Canadian heroes
Below the Sea) produce a summery slab of complicated instrumental
post rock in the vein of early Sea & Cake or Pell Mell.
Also reminds me of Chic for some reason. God knows why. It just
does.
