Out now on Misplaced Music is a split 7" between Dakota Suite and Idaho. The Dakota Suite side is splendid. Two tracks - one mournful acoustic pop in a Red House Painters vein the other an absolutely gorgeous slab of Rachels like chamber piano music - lovely. Idaho on the other hand give us a noisier affair with hints of American Music Club or Jeff Buckley. Be quick as its limited to 500.

What their label says...

Dakota Suite hail from Leeds and have had records out on Badman, Glitterhouse and Che. They play lovely quiet songs which hint at Mark Eitzel, Red House Painters and Rachels. Idaho are from the west coast of America and have had several records out since their inception in 1993. They were founders of the slo-core movement along with Low and Codeine and have drawn comparisons with American Music Club and Jeff Buckley.
