:: SING-SING Brief Bio ::
It was a chance meeting over red wine and coffee that brought together Emma Anderson and Lisa O'Neill. At their former boyfriends' flat in London, the two women talked about music and life before finding a common ground and realizing that, between the two of them, they had the makings of a great band. Thus began the birth of Sing-Sing. Since the end of her band Lush in 1996, Emma had been looking for a singer with whom to work and start a band; someone who shared the same sensibilities and ideologies. As it turned out, Lisa was a perfect match.

October 1998 saw the release of Sing-Sing's debut single, "Feels Like Summer". The single was a one-off appearance on Robin Guthrie and Simon Raymond's (formerly the Cocteau Twins) label, Bella Union, but it immediately received universal praise. It was followed in February 1999 with another single, "I Can See You" on Fierce Panda.

Released in May 2000, their next single "I'll Be" also garnered critical acclaim. And now comes their long-awaited debut album The Joy of Sing-Sing. The record is a generous slice of pure electro-pop, complete with haunting vocal harmonies and some no-nonsense synth-beats. Packed with tales of love, memories, and life in general, this album wraps all these stories around melodies and harmonies that sneak and snake around luscious soundscapes and rhythms.
