Prinzenallee is bleubird (vocals/noise) and Jayrope (music) who make a mutated form of hip hop using industrial and experimental elements to give the tunes an otherworldly feel. Bleubird is a Florida born rapper with a poetic style and Berlin based Jayrope enjoys experimenting with ideas and appears to have some history related to the Digital Hardcore label and Atari Teenage Riot. Things kick of with the beatsy industrial rap rock title track but soon settle into a laid back vibe with looser rhymes, cheeky production and some crazy use of samples. All sorts of angles are covered here and the playful, colourful nature of OutKask's music comes to mind when trying to find a comparison. Intriguing back packer style nerdy hip hop that takes in pop, rock, electronic and industrial influences...what more could you ask for? Comes on white and teal specked vinyl with a free download code. That'll do it.

What their label says...

Named after the street where they lived and recorded, Prinzenallee are bleubird (vocals/noise) and Jayrope (music). Hopping and hooting and hollering and banging immediately began after meeting in Berlin in early 2008. This previously mentioned racket led to the two performing a last minute improv set at the kick-off party for the Goldmund Festival and due to its great success they were quickly asked to perform another improv set during the festival itself. The second improv set didn’t work out as nicely as the first so they decided to hurry home and write some songs.

bleubird is a hungry-hungry rapper from Florida, USA who ate too many Dead Kennedy’s and 2Live Crew records and made his name touring relentlessly and releasing albums on Endemik Music out of Montreal.

Jayrope is the child of two pipe organ players, which sentenced him to be audiotic ever after. Ever after, then, includes having been the main recording engineer for Atari Teenage Riot and releasing two albums on the DHR sublabel Geist Records under the name Rope.

This project was born out of their mutual disdain for music they do not hear on the radio. They exist within their own West German Turkish ghetto Utopia and that is cooler than cool.

Their 10-track debut release “Don’t Let Nerds Take Over Your Life” is a two man show and features contributions from two amazing women, Irina Artamonova and Amel Mathlouthi.

 The album is being released on CD and a special limited edition 10” vinyl (white with teal specs and only 250 worldwide). Vinyl comes with a download card of the full album.
