Here's an amazing surprise, three brand new Bug tracks from Big Kev Martin! London Zoo is one of my favourite LPs from the past few years so it's pleasing that lead track 'Run' keeps up the quality.. It's got eveything you want from a Bug production; dark, paranoid, industrial dancehall with righteous mic work from Flow Dan, one of his regulars. It's reminding me quite a lot of the immense lurch of 'Skeng' actually. On the flip we're sent to a deeper, dubbier place which seems to be located somewhere between The Bug and King Midas Sound projects. Hitomi of KMS contributes vocals on 'Out of Control' and gets moulded into ghostly shapes on the following 'Control Dub'. Those two tracks didn't get me that excited on the first listen but cranked up they're as stellar as the A.. I'm ashamed of myself for having a grain of doubt!

What their label says...

Full artwork sleeve. Loefah’s Swamp 81 label enlists the services of The Bug who’s album on Ninja Tune’s label pushed him into the limelight a couple of years ago, Loefah remixed ‘Jah War’ to devastating effect which has since become a Dubstep anthem, here we see the return of The Bug collaborating with vocalist Flowdan on a brand new production ‘Run’ backed with ‘Out Of Control’ which features Hitomi, the audio has been kept close to Loefah’s chest but you should expect to see these tunes sweep the dancefloors in the next couple of weeks. BIG!!
