I'm not totally sure but I think Frightened Rabbit might be Scottish. The singer sounds dead Scottish at least.. And apparently he's called Scott which is kind of funny. Well alright, perhaps not. I'd describe the sound of this 7" as fitting into the 'catchy, strummalong rabble-rousing indie rock' genre. I can well imagine all the Scottish kids 'jumping up and down', 'having a good time' and 'getting off with each other' to this. My grandad's Scottish but I haven't been asked to play for Scotland yet.

What their label says...

•    ‘Nothing Like You’ precedes the release of the hugely anticipated new album and is backed by previously unreleased BBC session track ‘Learned Your Name’, performed solo by frontman Scott Hutchison. The band’s forthcoming album was recorded and mixed by Peter Katis (The Twilight Sad, The National, We Were Promised Jetpacks).

•    Frightened Rabbit’s success speaks for itself. Having already released ‘Swim Until You Can’t See Land’ from their forthcoming new album ‘The Winter Of Mixed Drinks’, the band have performed on the BBC’s Culture Show, confirmed UK / Ireland tour dates with Modest Mouse, and enjoyed unprecedented media support for their new material, with several high-profile radio plays, sessions and interviews, more TV appearances, large print / online press features, a shortlist nomination for the Spirit Of Scotland Award, a televised performance for the Royal Variety Show, and a secret, unannounced show at London's 200- capacity Lexington venue, which sold out within an hour of being made public.

•    Over the last two years Frightened Rabbit have become one of Britain’s most fiercely taken-to-heart new bands, publically feted by fellow musicians like Craig Finn (The Hold Steady), Nick Harmer (Death Cab For Cutie) and Simon Neil (Biffy Clyro).
