A clear vinyl. I like that. Would I buy that for a dollar?? Maybe. The new single from Banjo or Freakout floated past me before I even realised I'd listened to it. So I played 'Left It Alone' again. The words "Powerfully Foppish" sprang to mind. It's got anthemic leanings, ala Fleet Foxes or dare I say it My Morning Jacket but its nice enough without actually doing owt to my mind...great when music does that isn't it.....

Banjo or Freakout’s new single ‘Left It Alone’ follows his first two sold out releases, (‘Mr No’ 7” on No Pain In Pop and the ‘Upside Down EP’ 12” on Half Machine).

‘Left It Alone’ is swirling avant-folk and looped reverb pop, further exploring the beautiful, stargazing of ‘Upside Down’, from his previous EP.  Backed by another new song, ‘Breathe Out’, in which the looped melancholy drone builds and falls away in a haze of auto-tuned backing and percussive drums.
