Your browser may not support display of this image. London trio Golden Silvers will release their brilliant new ‘Please Venus’ EP on 7th September on XL Recordings. Available on double white 7” vinyl, the EP will feature a host of exclusive new tracks. In addition to the stunning lead track – a highlight of the band’s critically acclaimed ‘True Romance’ debut album – fans will be treated to recorded versions of big live favourites ‘Lily The Lover’ (never previously available) and ‘Locked Up My Head’ (only previously available via iTunes).. The band have also fully re-recorded album track ‘Queen Of The 21st Century’, producing what they feel is the definitive version of the track.

Golden Silvers are a thoroughly modern, forward-thinking, band. Guitar-free, Golden Silvers deal in huge, unabashed melodies, inspirational songwriting and dashing, groove-laden pop, of which ‘Please Venus’ is a prime sun-tinged example.
The single is set to build on the fantastic critical acclaim heaped upon the band’s ‘True Romance’ debut album. It also comes on the back of three triumphant Glastonbury performances and a gig with Blur at the band’s request at their huge recent Hyde Park show.
The band will continue to play festivals throughout the summer before following in the footsteps of La Roux by headlining Autumn’s NME Radar Tour. Support on the tour comes from Marina And The Diamonds, Local Natives and Yes Giantess.
