I like the look of the girl on the front of the new Girls 7" as she seems so genuinely happy. 'Lust For Life' is the new single after the rip-roaring success of the 10" EP and has me harking back to memories of the day I bought Sarah Records singles, the guitar and bass sound very C86 but the arrangement of the song is more like a US West Coast/Britpop hybrid summer smash. Alas, although I like the sound of the song, the instruments & the harmonica at the end, I HATE his whiny fake-ass voice & shitty contrived lyrics so it's not doing it for me. Also I feel I've heard the b-side song 'Life in San Francisco' a million times before, plodding, hazy, lazy folk pop that sounds a bit stoned. Nice production tho'...Shame about the songs. Ltd 7" only, if this is owt like the 10" I wouldn't dawdle

Love this record? Hate it? Tell us.

‘Lust For Life’ is 2 minutes 23 seconds of gloriously
melodic, insanely catchy West Coast pop described by
the  band  as  "honest,  loose,  ethereal,  obnoxious  and
perfect”.

copies).

Debut single taken from the forthcoming album, entitled ‘Album’.
