Andrew Savage and Jason Kelley a.k.a Fergus and Geronimo look like twin quasars of power nerdery. I don't know which is which but one of them is dutifully sporting a Devo badge on the sleeve of this debut vinyl release. Respect! A-side 'Harder than it's ever been' is pure pop simplicity recorded in the trademark woodsist lo-fidelity style. It's a tasty pop number all the made more wondrous by the shoddy playing and the rough ass recording. The keyboards are well cute too. 'Last Letter' rocks out a little more than the A-side and also hints at the psychedelic undertones that unite the current crop of bands emerging from the Denton, TX scene. For interested parties, Jason Kelly played in Wax Museum and Andrew Savage in Teenage cool kids....both good bands.

What their label says...

Fergus & Geronimo are Jason Kelly and Andrew Savage. You might know them from Wax Museums and Teenage Cool Kids respectively. What started as a recording project between friends has manifested into another extraordinary addition to the Denton, TX roster of current bands. Upon first listen, one can instantly recognize these two lads are intimately familiar with their influences. Never mind the psychedelia, this is straight pop, no bullshit. Debut vinyl release. First edition of 500. Another instant win win win from the pop-forest of Woodsist.
