I've heard bits of Theoretical Girl here and there while beavering away in the office and had the vague impression that they were a pretty tidy little outfit. 'Red Mist' is their new 7" (although it looks like it's a re-released/re-recorded version of a single they put out a few years back) and it's a prelude to their imminent CD. A trebly lead guitar riff and nod-along rhythm playing offer the backing while a lady coos sweetly and perhaps a little wryly over the top.. Brian informs me that the original version was far more rattly and DIY in comparison. Good quality indie rock which somehow sounds very English and reminds me a little of bands like The Long Blondes. They've got a nice thing going with the artwork too.
