Nadja. Their name alone is enough to have the kindergarten side of me chortling like a retarded idiot. They've a double wax platter out called 'Corrasion' which looks like an uber-serious behemoth of a set. I'm not playing all 4 sides when one will do. I THINK I've got this on at the right speed, It sounds like Black Metal spliced with Sun))))Oh dear the O is in the wrong pla(((((e. Philthy reckons this is what Jesu should/did/might sound like. It's uber-doomy stuff, Downtuned guitar buzzing away like a legion of pissed wasps, the percussion trudging along funereally and a man who probably watches himself die in the mirror every day for fun intoning hoarsily, low in the mix, probably wishing he was putrefying quicker, whilst trapped in this awful human shell. I've not quite got to grips with Doom, Brett or Ant understand this tortured sludge noise much more than I, but I can tell this is derived from the purest, quality fringe metal materials, a furiously meaty & absorbing sound, full of tragedy & quiet malevolence. Makes me walk slower too, like musical lead it is......on the French Basses Frequencies imprint.
