Last weeks single of the weeker's and Towers' faves The Vivian Girls have a super limited 7" out on Wild World and I would strongly advise followers of this Brooklyn trio to get their skates on as this 'Wild Eyes' 7 " is super limited and we doubt we can get any more copies after this initial batch... It's essentially a love/pop song that's got a real infectious hook and sweet girl vocal harmony's. The no nonsense production sound adds to the magic. Brian absolutely adores this band and he's just saying how he loves the bass rumble and how they make things sound so effortless. 'My Baby Wants Me Dead' as the title suggests is a darker little beastie. Again the bassline here is quality and when the tune gets going the girls really thrash it out with no messin. Check the lyric "He Want To Put a gun to my head". Brian wouldn't have that, he'd be at the rescue of his beloved girls. Who said romance was dead. A short but perfectly formed tune. I really dig the B-side.
