This new Cave 7" has got a fish on it that we think might be a rainbow trout. People in Scotland go out fishing with shotguns and shoot them into the water at rainbow trout you know. Then they scoop up their exploded faces with nets, mix them with broken glass and feed them to dogs who grow weed. That's just the way their justice works up there. 'The Ride / Bobby's Hash ' is limited to 500 copies on Static Caravan and completely fucking bones your ears with its A-side constantly building up a minimal riff into more and more chaotic psychedelic realms and its B-side pulling a similar sort of trick before going full on Nebula-ish stoner rock with solos to spare. Keep an eye out for the incoming LP 'cos this one's pretty rockin'!

What their label says...
Chicago based CAVE , a sorta’ backwards wonky Circle laying down a propulsive locked groove for stereolab to add a dressing that’s as much ‘Stonehenge’ Freefestival period Hawkwind as Lightning Bolt. Wild, Turbulant and Funky.Music as at home on the Freakzone as down in the gutter at Supersonic. Chicago post everything outfit combo, Cave, krautrock, looped guitars, tribal percussion, almost funky, definitely groovy, wild and energetic, mesmerizing and totally hypnotic, falling somewhere between the blown out swirl of Hawkwind, the looped mesmer of Circle, but with groovier, almost alien dancefloor vibe, or better yet, some cosmic ritual, like a spaced out drug drenched drum circle, but with heavy guitars.
