School of Seven Bells have got Justin K. Broadrick in to do a remix of 'Face to Face on High Places' as the B-side to their 'My Cabal' 7" which is important information you might want to take into consideration when you're weighing up whether to buy it or leave it in the shops. The lead track is a nice bit of shoegazery dream pop that doesn't sound anything like as tired as most stuff like that that's around at the moment. It's a very nice tune, particularly the soothing lady vocals. God knows what the Jesu remix has changed from the original since I've not heard the album but I'll take a guess that it's pushed it in a very slightly more beat-driven direction with almost dubsteppy bass throbs giving it a bit of a Telepathe feel.
