I find Various Production a bit hit and miss. They've done some great records but there's also some baz out there 'n all. I think they possibly release too many? Well 'Buds' is one of their folky more gentle paced affairs with a slow Massive Attack-ish beat with some gentle female vocals hushed over the music. It's kind of trip hoppy.... And compared to the last 12" with Georgia's Horse with this is loads better. I probably should have said earlier that this is Pumajaw Vs Various Production but I didn't. Oops... Comes in a nice Bonesy sleeve...

Various Production remixing the majestic Buds from Pumajaws latest album “Curiosity Box” described by TIME OUT as “eerie, wyrd-folk and psych-rock with a chimeric, almost shamanistic power” (5 Stars) Pinkie Maclure and John Wills (Pumajaw) combine Pinkie’s unique, multi-octave voice with looped guitar, mandolin, samples, concertina and hypnotic rhythms. Their own seductive sound stretches from psychedelic pop through sultry folk songs to eerie, cacophonous, trance-inducing laments.
